"Why Do You Wear Glasses...?" The Twins Interview Aunty Spot

This week I decided I would do things a little differently and let the twins take over my blog post.

OK - so they are 6 and can't type so they didn't do every bit and I typed it up but I did let them decide what we would do. They both said they enjoyed answering questions about each other recently and that they'd like to do something similar. After a bit of discussion and thrashing about some ideas they decided they would like to interview their favourite person in the world....Aunty Spot!

The Twiglet's with Aunty Spot

They both came up with 5 questions each and they genuinely came up with these themselves and then interviewed her. Here is the outcome:

Poppy

Q1: Why do you wear glasses?

Because I can't see far away very well! I can see things up close fine, but far away they get a bit blurry.

Q2: What is your favourite book ever?

Ever??? Probably "Matilda" or "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe". I love them both.

Q3: What is your favourite thing to eat?

Crisps. All kinds of crisps.

Q4: Do you ever have to do homework?

I do :( teachers have lots of homework to do otherwise you will end up having nothing to do at school.

Q5: What is your favourite thing to do with the children at school?

Reading. I love reading. I even get to read WITH the children as well as to TO the children. It's my favourite part of the day!

Ruby

Q1: What is your favourite thing to wear?

Interesting question! My "Beauty and the Beast" T Shirt is my favourite thing to wear.

Q2: What are you scared of?

Spiders.

Q3: What is your favourite film?

"Sister Act 2" and "Beauty and the Beast". Real life "Beauty and the Beast" is also pretty high up.

Q4: What is your favourite thing to do with us?

Play with you and colour in and read stories to you.

Q5: What is your favourite thing to do with your Mam?

Have cocktails and a chatter.

And there you go. The twins now feel like they know Aunty Spot a little bit better and I am sure they will continue to get to know her more.

I will sign off now.

Until next time...

"What Did You Think Of.....Captain Underpants?"

For our latest review we took the twins to see "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie". I say "we"...I let Kate take them with their Aunty Spot while I sat in Costa and read my book with a latte. Here is their review:   Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie       WARNING: COULD CONTAIN SPOILERS     Describe "Captain Underpants" in a nut shell:   Ruby:  It is about a man who is a teacher and a boy who finds a ring and turns him in to Captain Underpants.    Poppy:   Two little boys who love making comics and there was a nasty teacher and they turned him into Captain Underpants.    Kate/Spot:  Comic books come to life.      What was your favourite bit of "Captain Underpants?"   Ruby:  Every time the boy said "Freeze" and talked to the camera (broke the 4th wall).     Poppy: When he was changing to Captain Underpants and the...

Me And My Dad: Video Games

Me And My Dad:   1: Video Games   Growing up my Dad and I had a great relationship. I don't have any vivid memories of him shouting at me or us fighting over trivial things (although I am sure they did happen). Looking back over my memories of growing up with my Dad I can totally see where my love for movies, video games, horror, reading, quizzing and cooking came from. For my next few posts I am going to delve in to each of these a little further...starting with Video Games!   I am now 36...my Dad is 64. Two days ago he sent me a WhatsApp message with a link to a video on YouTube for a recent video game called "Thimbleweed Park". He wrote:   "Have you seen this? It is done by some of the guys who did Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. It look's great"   Reading that made so many good memories float back from the late 80s/early 90s when my Dad and I were obsessed with Point and Click Adventure Games on the PC. I was really lucky to have a...

Me And My Dad: Reading

Me and My Dad: 3: Reading My Dad is an avid reader! He always has at least one book on the go but more often than not he will have about ten! He buys books, he borrows books off friends, he borrows them from the library, he downloads them on his Kindle...he will read a book in any format. Naturally because of that, I too am an avid reader (although these days I don't read as much as I used to). I love to get myself lost in a good story and I don't particularly have a genre that I prefer. I like a good thriller, a scary horror, a mystery, an adventure, fantasy and even the occasional piece of "chick-lit" (I like Sophie Kinsella books...she is pretty funny). These are five books that I associate with my Dad, all for different reasons. 1: Well Done Noddy by Enid Blyton My brother was a big fan of the "Noddy" books so we had lots in the house growing up. As I was younger than him, they were passed down to me. My Dad would often read me ...
